Several months ago, our office received the following email, which led to this 16-minute video interview with Kathrine: cwgministries.org/blogs/chosen-interview-katherine-warnock-executive-and-producer-chosen

My name is Katherine Warnock, and I serve as an executive and producer with the television series The Chosen. I owe so much of both my career and my walk with the Lord to Mark’s ministry.

I’m now almost 44 years old, but when I was a brand-new 20-year-old Christian, my mentor was determined to teach me how to hear God’s voice.

She introduced me to Mark’s VHS teaching series (filmed through a prison program), and it changed my life forever.

To this day, whenever I speak or do press, I’m often asked what advice I would give to Christians trying to make it in Hollywood. Without hesitation, I always say: learn how to hear God’s voice within a community of accountability. And every time, I share about your ministry. My husband and I have even had the joy of facilitating your courses around the world in our travels.

Mark, I’m deeply grateful to you and your team for giving me the greatest gift—teaching me how to recognize His voice and move in step with Him. The impact we’ve been able to make through The Chosen is, in large part, because of the foundation your ministry gave me. For that, I will never be able to thank you enough.

With heartfelt gratitude and warmest blessings,

Katherine Warnock

Journaling application

  • Lord, what would You speak to me concerning applying the stories in this testimony to my own life?
  • What is the next step I am to take to walk more continuously in the Spirit?

Hearing God’s voice is as simple as: 1) quieting down (Ps. 62:1-5), 2) beholding Jesus at my right hand (Ps. 16:8; Acts 2:25), 3) asking for His revelation and tuning to flowing thoughts and flowing pictures (Jn. 7:37-39; Jer. 2:13; 10 pictures), and 4) recording this flow (Hab. 2:1,2; Rev. 1:9-11). I then test it, ensuring it lines up with Scripture (Ps. 1:2; Jn. 10:35; 1 Thess. 5:2) and is affirmed in the hearts of my three spiritual advisors (2 Cor. 13:1; Prov. 11:14). See this link.
